How do you start a meditation habit?

I am a daily meditator. I began transcendental meditation in 3rd grade and it is one spiritual tool that puts me on an even keel to face my day with serenity and optimism. I use the free Insight Timer app. It’s has great resources and communities.

Meditation is no joke. It physically changes your brain. Neurologists have found that it shrinks the alarm system in our brain (the Amygdala) and greatly enhances the neuroplasticity of the brain to improve executive decision-making by building up the prefrontal cortex (enhancing slow and calm decision-making and reducing anxiety).
